Fashion Awards Australia entries now open

Fashion Awards Australia - A prestigious presentation of fashion design staged annually in the City of Wyndham is celebrating its eleventh year. The purpose of the awards is to find and give recognition and ultimately help in the education and development of the students in the textile and fashion departments of the Secondary and TAFE Colleges and the Open Designers.

Fashion Awards Australia is a major established fashion awards event for all Secondary, TAFE and Open Designers in Australia.   Further details can be found at: www.fashionawardsaustralia.org

Australian Academy of Design The Australian Academy of Design announced the approval of its new Fashion Design degree course - Refer to the Academy's website for details

In October 2010, Dromana Secondary College is again holding a Fashion Expo for students on the Mornington Peninsula. Students across the peninsula will be given an opportunity to participate in a showcase of their creations.

An independent panel of judges will be invited to judge the students fashion designs and awards and prizes will be given in a variety of categories.

Criteria:

• Students must be currently undertaking a senior subject.
• Students work must be their own original work.
• All rules must be adhered to.

• The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
